Cool 05 Goat Wheels and Tires

I've been looking around here the past couple days and I seem to find out some info and then I find other info and they don't always work with each other...

I'm still in the air about to go with the 17's or to go with the 18's. The first hard part is trying to determine if there's much difference between the two rims and if it's really even worth the upgrade cost. Sure, it's only 500... but that's 500 to spend elsewhere. Second, I've been reading more and more the the tires on the 18's are not just a performance tire... but pretty much summer only tire. While it doesn't get too much winter up here, the Pacific Northwest is known for it's wet weather and I've read that the 18" tires aren't too good for that.

Go with the 18's....I upgraded the wheel/tire combo on my car and my tires are definitely summer only, but the only problem I have is in the snow, rain doesn't affect me too much

I disagree...Go with the stock 17s and use the exorbitant amount of money they would have charged you for the 18s to get some nice aftermarket wheels.

Well he said it was only a 500 dollar option.....I highly doubt you are going to get ANY decent aftermarket wheel and tire package for 500 bucks.

Those 18'' wheels made a big difference on the black GTO at the autoshow. When it comes to summer tires there okay in the rain. Its the snow the you have to worry about. And that is only if its a big snow fall.

True, but when you buy aftermarket wheels and tires, generaly you get to keep your factory ones. I'm pretty sure if you get the 18" option, you dont get to keep the factory 17" wheels or BFG KDWS.

Why would you? What he was talking about before is getting the base stock 17s and getting aftermarket later. It's only 500 bucks so that'll buy some cheap wheels or tires, but not both. With the 18's, it's just an upgraded stock wheel and tires. If you get the SAP, do you expect to keep the regular bumper fascias and spoiler?
