Impressions of my TCI 242937.....
I just finished putting my TCI 3000 stall in my GTO...This was a custom built 242937 SSF but to a SF stall and using TCI's billet cover/HD LU clutch.Car feels only slightly more loose pulling away from a light, maybe 300 rpm max...I havent really wacked it yet as I wanna let the LU clutch get seasoned for a few miles.
I'm running the Derale pan along with this verter that has cooling tubes in the pan to cool down the fluid under throttle...Its a nice pan made to cool the fluid about 40 degrees..I'm going to check the trans temps and if I need to run a cooler I will then install one but I have a feeling with this pan I'm going to be okay with temps.
I couldve went alittle more stall but I didnt wanna take any drivability away from my GTO and thats why I opted for the 3000....Anyone wanting to do this mod should contact Kevin Winstead at TCI Transmissions.....
Now I need to put the DR's on the car
