Default TR Old Man cam in a GTO & Yella Terra Rockers

Anyone using this cam? Like / Dislike? Is it noisey? How does it drive? Is it good with an A4?

Anyone using the Yella Terra rockers? Are they noisey? Worthwhile mod or waste of $$$.

To do this swap right I am looking at $1500, so I want to get the right cam in there the first time. I am not an old man, but I am old enough to remember what a lopey cam does to driveability. What I want is an smooth idle, lots of torque, and a bit more power in the higher revs.

Stay away from YT rockers....
Too heavy...

The OMC cam is awesome but so is the CheaTR grind..
Very stealth idle with either cam but there more suited for exhaust manifolds.

I went with a Comp grind 214-222 559-566 115LSA 111ICL which minics the OMC....

Go to www.ls1gto.com

Search for LPE GT2-3

I think that is the cam you are looking for.

That is the cam I went with last year. Its a great all around cam with no lope and no different than stock qualities down low. Others that have installed this cam like it as well.

Think of it as a little hotter than the LS6 cam. Perfect for what I was after

Thanks for the info

Looks like maybe I should get the LPE GT 2-3. I just wish it had a little more intake duration.

Thats why I went with the Comp 214-222 559-566 115LSA,it will give me about the same idle as the GT2-3 but make alittle more power....

I see you bought that cam. Just curious to see what it'll put down.

I'm thinking mine could put down 375 with a cat back. Take off the cats, maybe 380.

Anyway, just curious how yours comes out.
