I am pretty sure they are going to come in where the current GTO systems are:

5995.00 for the silver
6995.00 for the polished

no problems on the prototype. Should not be a problem on production.

Ah well you guys wanted me to test one out right? Any word on how these will be as far as CARB certification? I might end up moving to California later this year and my mods will need to be CARB friendly.

They are entirely worth it if you want to remain CARB legal and keep your factory warranty.

you think if you blow your motor the dealer is gonna warranty it with a magnacharger on it?

I have one........and when you go to a dyno day and it only makes 378rwhp and another GTO comes up and dynos with a vortech supercharger and makes 440rwhp and spent LESS than I did well you tell me how much its worth.

Tuning man.... tuning. Becides, centrifugal superchargers are ALL about big peak numbers because they make maximum boost near redline which is where you make peak power anyhow. Power under the curve is what makes a car more driveable and accelerate better. This is what a positive displacement blower has in spades.

Here is a dyno of my old Honda B16 1.6L on 15psi with a Vortech. Notice it made peak horsepower AND torque at nearly the same point just short of the fuel cutoff. (Boost was later raised to 18psi and the redline to 9000rpm however I never re-dyno'd it after those changes.) The car was god damn fast from 6500rpm on up but it wasnt much quicker than stock below that point. I had to rev the thing so hard to get the most of it that eventualy the oil pump failed and it damaged the engine. (The whole thing was fully built which made it that much more of a headache when that happened. Needless to say, I stripped it, sold it and bought the GTO and have been happy with torque ever since!)

That was a tuning issue, it has been fixed. Sorry you have had a bad experiance, however we have fixed the problem and plenty of people are getting the results they wanted now. If there is any way we can earn your business again, please let me know. I will do my best to make your experiance a good one.

As for warrnaty, there are a LARGE number of dealers using our superchargers as dealer upgrades. That cant be said for most of the others.

My goat was tuned by Jeremy Formato a very well known LS1 tuner here in florida......back in april he tuned it with longtube headers and the maggie and I made 396rwhp and torque......he could never get it any higher. My Iat's are always 120 or above. So i was somewhat satisfied with that.....I go to his shop this past weekend and have it dyno'd again, he looks at the tune nothing has changed. My results 378rwhp......So I have lost 20rwhp for some unknown reason(most likely just heat and humidity). The stock tune from magnacharger got me a glorius 360rwhp.......Like I said this all stings a little when I spent $7k installed. Guys with procharger, vortech etc.......make more power for less money.....it just burns. I love the low end instant power but come on.......its just not worth all that money. If I had it to do over again, I would not choose magnacharger. Now I am stuck trying to milk more power out of it or keep it cool to make that extra power. The alternative is to try and sell it and lose about $3k off the top. Its great that it has been fixed but that does not help the early birds like me. The kit for the vettes is obviously better, the intercooler design for the GTO was just too small.

Well, I am sorry you have recieved less than stellar results. Feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to work something out with you on a return. I would however appreciate it if you keep the negative comments to a minimum in my thread......There are thousands of happy Magnuson owners out there, we cant please them all.

BTW, I am serious about the offer on the return.
