What i read about the older GTO maggie kits was something about the fuel lines being routed in such a way that the fuel would get too hot to make decent power.....is that correct Brian. Anyway....from everything i have heard it's been resolved. I trust BlownChevy will take care of you however he can, but please do leave the negative comments out of this thread, you have made your point.

Constructive negative feedback never hurt anyone. If a solution has been made, then that's just proof of standup company. Supressing problems discourages people.

BIG thanks to HP Tuners for all of the support.
What mods, aside from the blower and tune? Is this with Headers or the stock exhaust manifolds?

But how well would it run on nitrous?

If it has results anything like the 2004 GTO I had a chance to work with it should be quite the package.

100 wheel horsepower / 85 lb-ft of torque through the stock cats and exhaust was not too shabby in my book.

With the addition of our cat-back it made another 16 wheel horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque.

As far as heat soak went it was not a tremendous factor ... the car had just as much variation with the stock motor as it has with the S/C

The car is run at operating temp and allowed to idle between passes with a test time interval changing by 2-14 mins with a 4-6 HP net change.

The car again was run at operating temp and the car again is allowed to run at idle between passes with a 4 min test interval with a 3-4 HP net change.

I have not seen the MPH at the track fall on consecutive passes either. This is with the Magnacharger out of the box tuning.

Many tuners will tune customers cars with a very big 'safety net' since people blowing their stuff up after getting it tuned (due to abuse, not poor tuning) tends to fall back on the tuner. Sure, they could eek more power out of every bit of engine and boost you can put in front of them but will it be practical or safe for daily use? Probably not nearly as much.

Wow, 420whp from a Magnacharged LS1 is pretty good... Hell, 400whp is good. I'd say 380-400 is probably very respectable considering many LS1 GTO's dyno ~280whp stock.

Not really Supressing anything, just tired of certain people beating a dead horse.

No other mods to the car.

The supercharger system will be:
Approx:
$5995.00 for the silver
$6995.00 for the polished

Installation @ Magnsuon runs about $1300.00

Did you obtain those numbers in 3rd gear after the car sat overnight?

Because that's the way everyone dyno's their cars.

There's a story behind this Jason. PM me if you'd like.

Normally one dyno's in the gear they're 1:1 in. So M6's are 4th, A4's are generally 3rd.

But there is a story here.

It appears that the Maggie makes fairly decent power. Im just really really concerned about the heat soak issues. I've tried to read up on the product as much as I can and it seems like I can never get a definate answer.

I have a 2005 GTO and dynoed 353rwhp/351rwtq with 1300 miles on the car. I have an M6 and dynoed in 4th gear. I would certainly hope that I could get atleast 100rwhp. Obviously I'll be doing long tubes and a cat-back and a cold air induction system as soon as one becomes available.

Im actually looking at getting a hood with head extractors. If my car is driven for awhile and I let the car sit. I can pop the hood an hour later and cook eggs on it.

I like having street driveability and I like the power curve, not specifically PEAK power. I guess I'd have to see the dyno charts on top of each other to make a correct hypothesis.

The price for the kit seems steep in my book, but plenty of people buy them at that price. If there was ever a nice discount or a group purchase I'd consider one for sure.

Also, the LS2 is running fairly high compression so 5-6psi of boost is about all it will take - along with the fuel system "problems". I think 5-6psi of boost would net a better power curve with a Maggie over a ProCharger, but I could be wrong.

I'll just wait it out and see how the blower market turns out for the LS2. Im not planning on going overboard with my GTO like I did with my Camaro.

I can tell you from first hand experience, that heat soak is not the issue that people would like you to believe. I watched 4 trucks, and a gto run at the track for 5 -6 hours last week. None of them had any sort of drop in trap times or speed over that time. And, they did hot lap quitea few times. The problems people may have had in the past, are just that, in the past. The Magnacharger guys are great, and they put out a great product. If you met the guy that does the tuning (MacGyver ) you would not have any of these questions.

I don't feel it is that cut and dry. However, you seem to be well educated on this (judging from your response) so I suppose I don't have to explain why.
