Question holden dash mounted guages

Anyone out there tryed to install the holden dash mounted volt and oil pressure guages in there 04' gto yet. I have seen some modified guage pods designed for the holden guages to make them fit into the gto, but I have heard that this mod will only work for the 2005's. I guess there would be some wireing involved on an 04'. I want the extra guages, but with the factory look, and this seems to be the way to go.

Their is no harness to make it a plug and play deal. The 05's have the harness already installed but unused.

Anyone know where I could get one of these for my red guages? I have the ability to look the wiring diagrams up at a local dealer. If I have to, I will order the whole harness to splice it in.

You could always order the 05 kit from JHP and modify it to work (assuming you have an 04 - otherwise if you have an 05 it plugs right in).

Their is a harness in the works, I can spill a small tiblit of information, theirs going to be a connector that will go into DLC. You don't get oil pressure signal from the DLC though.

Their are a few 04s already with this gauge pod that arn't using functional guages yet.

DLC? Is that the ODB-II port?

The Aeroforce Interceptor Scan Gauges provide oil pressure from that port - why couldn't these?

per this thread: http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthr...ht=interceptor

I have a little lead on setting these gauges into my 04' goat. I am purchasing a dash wire harness from a wrecked 05', and intend on seeing if all the connectors will work on my 04'. I will take pics of the process and the gauges when I do this. By the way, there is a set of these gauges on ebay for sale if anyone is interrested in seeing them.

Have you tried to look into this idea? I really do not know. I have not gotten that deep into the wiring on my goat. I was just hoping to try something that noone has attemted to do.

Yup, I'm the guy doing the development for the JHP retrofit kit. The 2004 BCM doesnt pass the oil pressure PID to the UART dataline that feeds the cabin. The volt gauge will work, but not the Oil Pressure.

Yup we are working on an interface to get everything squared away, just waiting on some info and some time to put a prototype together

Chris, is this going to be an electronic plug and play like the '05? Or do we still have to do it the old fashioned way?

And get that oil pressure to show up in the stock gauge cluster and it won't be a problem!

Default I don't know if I'm allowed to post this over here but...

I'm looking into the possibility of setting up a group purchase on the JHP pod, for JUST THE POD. No gauges. This'd be for those people who like that style of pod but want to use aftermarket gauges. Updates are coming in all the time on the information in this thread so please if you're interested it just takes a few minutes to say I'm interested, and if there's a certain price you'd like to see, PLEASE post it, it's much easier that way. I am working with JHP on this.

p.s. if this ISN'T the spot I should be posting this, please let me know where I can

I would like to see the factory gauges with pod go for around $350.00-$400.00, and the price of the wireing kit go for around $100.00. By the way, I am interrested.
