Default Crap

Man what a bunch of crap! The Z06 Vette and the GTO should not be seriously compared. They were built for entirely different functions and are both great GM vehicles.

The weight advantage of the Z06 is hard to overcome and they can also be supercharged.

I am giving serous thought to purchasing a GTO because on trips my Vette is hard on the back. The GTO offers outstanding performance and comfort.

I have to wonder why the Z06 person is here.

The truth is all crap ceases on the drag strip. A good driver in a GTO could beat a bad driver in a Z06. The majority of drivers especially with manual transmissions seem to have no clue of how to launch them. The can't seem to conceive that the quickest run the car will make will be the one without wheel spin.

Recently a ‘02 Z06 was at our local 1/8-mile track. It never got below 9.5 because of wheel spin. It must have been a rude awakening since he thought he was going to run 7.5. He actually was beat by a stock ’99 Mustang GT.
