Hey guys,
It has finally stopped raining up here in the Northeast. I parked my 2005 GTO on Thursday night and went to it this morning (Sunday) and the back seat driver side foot well had an inch of water in it... All windows were closed and door was closed tight as well(WTF???
). I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow morning.
Has anyone else had this problem? What is the deal with the lemon law and this kind of problem? Does it have to be the dealer that sold me the car, or just the authorized dealer that I am working with now? Any help with this would be just great.
Thanks,
Warren

At least a few other people on LS1GTO have said the same thing, usualy from the rear. Most have said it was from the window seals on the back glass I believe.

It is being worked on tomorrow. I looked this morning because it was raining... On the driver's side in the rear corner just as you are going into the back... The water accumulates on the weather stripping and then spills into the rear footwell
. I really want them to fix the problem. I would rather not have a lemon law deal. I will let you all know how it works out
.

They said it was the door trim seal not installed correctly. Also they replaced a the water deflector
in the door
. All I can do is wait until ot rains again (not much of a wait on Long Island).
I will keep you all posted

This seems to be a problem on many GTOs. You might want to try running a hose over parts of it for awhile to see if it leaks again. From what I've read the design of the door seals may be poor, allowing water to flow in.
