Hot or burning plastic smell...

Hot or burning plastic smell... My 05 GTO only has 600+ miles on it. Today I ran it kinda hard for the first time. Afterward the exhaust smelt of burning plastic. Is this typical of the the break in of the plastic components of the LS2? Its definately comin from the exhaust, as I stuck my nose down buy it and it was very strong and no smell under the hood.

Their is often coatings on the engine bay and underside of cars that are shipped overseas that takes a few weeks if not months to burn off completely. I think I noticed that 'burning' smell for a month or more with my car. If it continues past 1500 miles, then i'd start to worry.

I love that smell! Yeah, mine has around 1800 miles on the clock and it still is emitting that exact smell. I really drove the goat hard today and the smell is much stronger. I noticed some sort of "stickers" on the exhaust plumbing when I changed my oil the other day. It must be coming from that.
