Patriots Head + Voodoo Cam = a Sick Combination.
Well I found an installer here in Memphis that didn't try to charge me an arm and a leg.... and he's actually a member of the forums.
Unafiliated Racing (Brian) did the install for a very very reasonable price.
I drop'd the car off with him on Monday afternoon and he brought the car to me this afternoon (Tuesday)... now for the break in cycle to go through one more time...
I'll be posting up the photo's of the install once Brian gets them to me... he needs to get some sleep cause he was swing wrench's all day
Again I can't thank him enough for working with me and my odd schedule for the install.
Thanks Brian aka Unafiliated Racing
To Gunner from Patriot.
The 2031's are a very nice set of heads.
I pulled em out of the box before give'n over to Bryan for the install.
For those that don't know the 2031 is a LS6 stage 2 head from Patriot with a 2.05 intake and 1.57 exhaust valve (Patriot uses Ferrea Valves by the way) and has Patriots Gold series .650 lift dual springs installed. Not a bad combination for $1200 from Summit Racing.
For who ever from Lunati
The Voodoo 60511 works just fine with a 1.85 roller rockers.
No PVT issue's. But you will need a .625 to .650 lift capable spring.
Oh the 60511 is a 222/228 113lsa bump stick that has a max lift of .567 with 1.7's (.618 with 1.85's) and goes for around $280 to $320
To Summit Racing
Thanks for having 90% of the parts I needed last week when I ordered them.
I've looked at alot of the different vendors sites and Summit is one of the few that list's price and availability... no guess on if it's instock or not.
And a Special thanks for having the parts at a reasonable price
Next on my To Do list is
Custom Tune... Still undecided on which way I'm going to go HP Tuner and do it myself. RWTD tune, send the computer off to someone...
Which ever I decide I can't do it until I've got the exhaust completed...
Headers... I've decided on the Edelbrock Ti Tech shorties due to a couple of reasons....
This Goat is a daily driver and not a race track queen, heck I haven't ran on a drag strip since I was stationed in Hawaii back in 95. I don't need assloads of power at the top end. I need good power in the middle of the powerband that will not break the bank. And the Edelbrock's at $450 to $525 are a good price for shorties. Now if JBA was the only set offered at $700 or better then I'ld go ahead and spend the money for a set of LT's.

Wow! I have been debating on Patriot heads. But was not sure on what cam to use. What are your numbers? Post after you tune. I usually am on LS1GTO.com. So will have to check on this in a couple of days. I will be doing all of my own installs. But cannot tune.
