Yea i wouldnt even sweat it..The IRS is a BIOTCH for a newbie..

Over here in hawaii we have a crappy track that goes slightly uphill..

I constantly see auto and manual C5 owners running embarrassing high 13's and low 14's... AND THE TRACTION CONTROLS OFF..

my 2.73 geared auto ran 13.5-13.7 at 101-103 mph every single time...But the newbies with their superior 3.15 geared autos or 3.42 geared manuals are running 13.9 at 98-101 mph???????????????????

Makes me just wanna pimp slap them and drive their car down the strip so I dont have to be embarassed anymore. So dont worry about the poor showing from the goats that day......Every suppossedly quick car has people who dont know the first thing about racing go to the track thinking their john force and embarrassing the real racers who own the car....

Heck....The best I did the first time with my C5 was a 13.9 at 99 mph..

-traction control on
-can in drive
-2.3 60 ft

Then after about 3 more trips to the track with the car still 100% stock I got it down to 13.5 at 103...

Those LS2 GTO guys will end up the same wayy with a little help.

Just purchased my '06 A4 3 weeks ago. Took it to SGMP in Valdosta with only 686 miles on the OD. Bone stock, save for Nitto DRs. Ran 13.2 @ just under 105 and a 1.97 60'. Weather was in the high 50s, low humidity and about a 20 mph headwind.

Yes, he did. Proud to say I was there to see the inaugural run.

We'll be out there. Let me know the exact date, Leo lives right outside of Rockford and when I visit I usually stay at his place for a day cause it's so far coming back. We wanna hit the track one of these days.

I wanna see your car in action, missed the last track day when the guys went with you.

Well, you guys think it was bad that day. Come to Denver and race at Bandimere Speedway(5800 ft.). Stock 04's are getting about 14.6-15.0, and 05's are about 14.2-14.6. Hell, mine 04 has a Magnacharger on it and the best I've gotten out of it is 13.5 at 105mph. Altitude sucks and so does the GTOs IRS.

I was at Great Lakes Dragaway last night. I saw a LS2 Auto GTO run 13.6. It looked to be brand new and stock. The guy had temp plates on it. The other GTO's were running pretty slow. Like 14's, 15's, I even saw a guy ran a 17 something, and he didnt even let off.

The IRS doesn't suck. Its very good. It takes a little work to get it down.

My F-Bodies were simple to drive compared to the goat. Definitely a different approach. But there are guys running 1.5x short times, so it'll work. Won't see that in the made out of glass stock 10 bolt

I guess those at Byron on opening day missed me. I ran a 13.58 on street radials. Have an 04 w/ intake and headers and a f-ed clutch. The 05-06 crew there blew ***. I was pretty inconsitent that day w/ 2 runs in the 14s and a 16 because my clutch totally gave up on me. I had 3 runs in the 13s though.

Did you have your window marked with a zero and slash through it "no time"? Seems like when ever I want to really see a cars time they or the guy next to them is not showing their time which shuts off the lights in both lanes. Congrats on the 13.58! hopefully your clutch is all fixed up by now.

No, I never run no time. I have no idea if the guy next to me was running no time. I don't even know what I was running against at the time. Clutch will be fixed in 2 weeks. Looking forward to getting back on the track after that.

I broke both axles and my diff two weeks ago at Byron. Hope to run it again this weekend.

GMH GTO - great 60ft times. How do you like the BMR drive shaft? Any vibration issues?

Looking to get rid of my 2 piece - not sure if going BMR or Diff Tech.

6speed GTOs require a decent drivers. if they were automatics they had really lousy drivers.
First time out with my 04 auto bone stock I ran 13.8s,,there were two stock 05 6 speeds that were in the 15s. They were hopping and spinning like crazy,,no finnesse at all from the drivers. Not the cars fault.
As for the irs sucking I get 1.60 short times on drag radials.. maybe not the greatest but good for what little i have done.
