Will I want to keep it?
I am considering taking over a lease on the GMAC SmartBuy plan. Its an '04 GTO red on red. The reason I ask is because if I buy one I know I will mod it and if I do, at the end of my lease I would either lose all kinds of bank on the mods to return it to stock or opt to keep the car. My question is do you think I will still be satisfied with it or want to get rid of it? The lease ends July 30, 2008 and the buy out is 16000. Right now the payments are right around $300 a month and it only has 8500 miles on it. Im thinking it seems like the kind of car that will still be great 2 years from now but I want some opinions from goat owners! Thanks guys!

When my lease ends this December, it's bye-bye goat. The car's great, but my residual of $21k is just crazy money. I couldn't trade it in for $19k right now. You can't buy a used one for $300/mo., so I don't know what to tell you. Good luck.
