Starting a Wrecked GTO
Hello:
I purchased a wrecked 2004 GTO (front end collision). Both airbags deployed. When I try to start the engine, it appears as if I do not have fuel pressure. When the key is on the ‘on’ position, the instrument cluster shows an Airbag, ABS, and Fuel Gauge error and says to contact the dealer. Is there a way to start the engine without repairing the airbags and ABS? Perhaps some sort of fuel pump reset procedure?
Thanks.
Jeff

On almost all newer cars there is a fuel pump relay that trips in an accident. Stops fuel from going through the lines. The GTO is probably no exception. While i am not sure where the reset it, you could call a dealership/local mechanic and ask them.
