Rear bumper on 04 Hi all i have a 04 gto and i wanted to put a 05 or 06 rear bumper on but my dealer said there not interchangeable. I have seen them all over the net can any1 tell me is there a kit or whats the deal

You can get an '05 bumper, but you'd need to change to dual exit exhaust since the stock '04 is single exit. Search on ls1gto...lots of people have done the conversion.

There is a styrofoam piece under the bumper which needs to be replaced or cut to match the 05 bumper. Also need to trim with nippers a bit of the black undercover. Other than the obvious migrating from singe to dual exit exhaust its pretty easy and the bumper bolts up in same place.
