Gto Airbag pretensioners help Does anybody know what I can put in the pretensioner circuit to tell the computer that the pretensioners are good. I am tired of seeing the airbag fault light on. I changed the air bags the sensor and clock spring but not the pretensioners. The car was a salvage car and and I dont think spending 450.00 for these goofy things are worth it. Are there any expert airbag people out there. Thank you for the info jim

Don't know what to tell about "fooling" the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM). The airbags and clockspring couldn't have been cheap so what would another $450 hurt to make the system work? FWIW Is there any other DTC's stored in the SDM? Usually if air bags deploy the SDM need replaced and reprogrammed too. Just something to check. As your finding out, there are always hidding dollar amounts waiting to be discovered when fixing a wrecked car. Been there, done that, never again.
