Limited slip seems to slip

I dont think that my limited slip is is working properly but I dont know if the garages around dont want to deal with it or they just dont know what is going on. In a straight line it will get both of the tires spinning no problem. If I go around a corner then I have to get on it hard to get it to engage and even then it doesnt once in a while. One of the guys that knows more around here says it could be just the fluid that could be causing it to slip. Any input would be appreciated.

i thought i read on ls1gto.com that out diff are different and crap. try doing a donut, you will only get one wheel to spin. dont know much about the rear ends on these cars, hope you find out what your looking for.

Common for them to slip from factory. Too much friction modifier.
Best mix for the rear end......
Torco 85-140 RGO (non-synthetic)
Torco Type F friction modifier 2oz.
You can order it direct from Torco
This is a Dana rearend and type F is appropriate.
This generally cures it and is enough friction modifier to keep the diff from chattering during slow turns.
