Window Tint Newbie here, just a warning. I am looking to get my 04 goat windows tinted. I have found a few places in the Charlotte, NC area. Just wondering if anyone has feedback on what kind of tints are of higher quality, or what i should go with. One place is www.speedstyles.com and they offer window tint for $135 plus tax. They use Madico film to but on the window. Then another place www.sunstoppers.net was $225 (tax is already included) and they use 3M window tint. Since i know nothing about tint, i was wondering if anyone knew which would be better. The guy at sun stoppers claims the cheaper place cant make any $ and that it uses cheaper tint because he could never offer his for $135. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I've never heard of Madico and by judging the from the price gap from 135 to 3M's 225...that should tell you something
Around here Llumar is a great brand that people use, also 3M.

I am having it done. But yea i wasnt sure if the guy was lying to me about the $225 or not. Just wondering if there was much of a difference in the brands of tint. But the other thing was i called one other place cant remember where and they wanted $200 so i didnt know where the price range should be.

Yea sry, both places come with a lifetime guarantee for as long as you own the car. Only thing was i have torrid red car. The speedstyles for $135 is an import place and seemed and little more reflective, but sun stoppers was $225 and seemed blacker if that makes any sense.

Mine is dark tint about 70% not real dark but still legal here in Indiana.. I was thinking of replacing it with the new silver tint that I have been seeing on the kids cars..I have a silver car and it would be silver all the way down and back so there is some different options out there depending on how much you want to spend..

I just want like a dark not silver tint. But i didnt know if i would be getting ripped off at the place for $225 or is there such thing and a higher quality of tint thats much better than others.

i got mine done for 135 with the llumar and its fine i would look around prob alot of places in charlotte that tint
i have a torrid red as well and have 20 % legal in SC it looks nice and dark. specialy with black interior in the back

I've been charged around ~200-225 for very professional tint jobs before. So it's really not a ripoff as long as the guy does good work and uses the right stuff.
madico is good ****,
probably better than the 3M
(it costs more here in the PNW)
but the best phone quote I could get for "any" tint on my GTO was $250
guess they don't tint alot of cars here in the northwest. so they charge a premium

My friends recommended me to a place and i got it done for $110 flat rate. It comes with a lifetime warranty and it looks pretty good. Only 35% though but its better than nothing. Maybe once im out into the real world i can do things my way hahaha.

I have 20% llumar tint on my car. it was the best quality my shop had that wasnt totaly illegal(that reflective stuff). has a warrenty against peeling and wont ever fade. I paid $200. was it worth it, YEP.
