Check out LS1GTO.com, there are a few guys over there you can PM about it. There's only a handful of people that have done it though....

My car is a ladder bar with a 9" but I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself. Car is also mini tubbed.

did you pick ladder over a 4 link for a reason? no im not going to do it by myself, im looking into a few shops. im a decent welder and a perfectionist, i just dont have any of the equipment. did you hit any snags on the install as far as mounting points, limited space or removal of the original bracketry? what was the width on the axle rotor to rotor? and about how much did the conversion cost? do you have any pics of the install? sorry for all the Q's just want to do it right the first time. thanks

I did the car myself. Ladder bar so I didn't loose the back seats. The width will depend on your offset and tire planned combo. This is not something that was easily done. All original brackets were cutoff. This is a drag car now I ended up loosing the back seats anyways for my cage to be certified to 8.50. width also depends on what rotors your using. Mine is 53 from rotor to rotor. The gas tank does not work so I had to use a cell.

Unless your car is a serious drag car you don't need the straight axle. Both my cars have run 1.5-1.6 60 foots on good tires and a few stock suspension tweaks. Both cars have run 10's with stock irs. I'm looking for 8's or I would still be running the stock irs. I run 26x11.5 mickey thompson e.t. streets on the 05 spraying out of the hole and it does just fine stock gears and all.

ALOT!! Like I said unless you have a car capable of 9's or even 8's there is no need for a solid axle.

Sorry no pics still working the bugs out. I should be at the lsx shootout.

Not too sure yet. I may just go to have fun and see what my car will really run. But I run king street now at a local track so most likely True street and just slow the car down.
