What can a stock GTO beat?

No the GTO is a well built car with infinite potintial. Any ls1 or ls2 will beat your average car on the street (mustangs and imports). The 6.0 is alot better of a car stock than the 5.7 but they are both great cars. There will always be someone you run across on the street that is faster, but that is just part of the game you go home add some mods and go run him again. Im still trying to get a blaser back that ate my lunch last year, probly wont happen since its a turbo ls1 running 10's. I personally would rather own a f-body than a GTO but i still have respect for the cars and they will beat your average car you find on the street.

t-56slpss- yeah I understand man.. it all comes down to ur personal taste. I love the f-bodys as well. I was about ready to buy a trans am (always wanted one) but when I saw the GTO that was for me. Hell were still all a family right... at least were not drivin a rice burner or a mustang... no offense if you have one!

ws6gluemaker- thanx for hookin me up with that site.. gives me good comp. between diff. cars. i'll bookmark that. damn a stock trans am.. does a 13.4? thats awesome... I still love those cars... but now I'm a GTO guy!!

Alot of it also depends on the type of race too. For example the GTO will pull a STI/EVO from a roll but from a dig the STI/EVO's have a huge advantage.
Go out there and find out. Also I go to the track and see what my cars runs on the average compared to the closest competition.

There is a gto at the track sometimes with an tricked out ls2, botom end, top end, and bolt ons with cheater slicks that cant run any better than 12.40's because he has no traction off the line. Should be a mid 11 car in my opinion. Id say suspension, front sway bar delete, and some latter bars would help quite a bit.
