This Clutch Rocks!
To me this is getting pretty comical! I try to obey the rules of this forum by asking people not to post non sponsor info and a member here with intent of shutting down a thread posts the sponsors info. I will delete the thread myself when the rules are broken.
I am on here as a satisfied consumer of a product that many of us use on a daily basis. Passing on my thoughts of a product that is done in many other threads all the time. Lets leave the childhood playground antics out of this and talk about cars, the real reason we are all on this board.
Thanks,
Daniel
After all my recent installs I had to upgrade my clutch as I had smoked my centerforce. My centerforce had an extremely stiff feel to it but I did not know how any other clutch felt as it was the one that came on my car. I was at a track with a bunch of other GTOs and felt how smooth and easy the stock and ls7 clutch were. I just wished they would hold up to my power levels. Well I found one that does and feels like stock. This new BOP "Talon" is amazing, no chatter with great feel. I am at 1500 miles since install and I am finally able to fly threw the gears without searching or babying it. If I knew a High HP clutch could feel like this I would have bought it much sooner!

Yeah it was pretty funny but I wanted to keep it within the rules and the language was getting out of hand. He posted his address phone numbers website email and I found it inapropriate. I just assumed one of yall would close it first.

How many miles do you have on your clutch so far? What's the difference between these and spec/centerfoce/mcloed/whoever? Is it the clutch material itself? Or is the pressure plate a lot higher clamping force with the fulcrum moved so you don't notice it?

I am at around 1800 at this point and it is holding extremely well. My centerforce would slip hard when my nitrous hit which was a bad thing. The clutch is rated to 750rwhp and that is on the low side as they have it on a 1k car now from what I understand and they are trying to get it to let go. There are several Twin Turbo GTOs that are running this clutch with alot more horses than me.
Features:
Iron ore disk(same material as f1 race cars)
Single Disk
Billet steel flywheel option for road racing
2800 lbs clamping force
Rated to 750hp/750tq
Proprietary springs
Kit comes with pilot bearing, throw out bearing,& line up tool.
This clutch has been tested on 4000lbs+ cars and held better and longer then other leading TWIN disk clutches! LIMITED LIFETIME warranty if installed by dealer.

Billet steel flywheels are more for drag racing, aluminum is more desireable for road racing due to the light weight, it helps to rev quick.
IMO way overpriced compared to its holding power. Its nowhere near a good twins rating.

I would love to "road race" on a course I think it would be so much fun. I just don't have one near me. I do go to the Drag Strip about once a month and I enjoy it too.
the billet fly wheel is 17lbs. plenty light for roadracing.i would ask the guys that have blown through there higher RATED twins that cost more than this clutch if the bop is worth it.i have went to a auto after 3 of these twin disc didnt hold up to my little 600hp.i have a friend pulling at his highly rated tripple disc with only 800 hp because it didnt hold. hes trying to decide what to use . any ideas? thanks
If youre blowing through clutches with a whopping 600HP either u suck at driving or someone cant install a clutch.
22 lbs stock, 18lb billet steel, and 13lb for an aluminum. If I was roadracing id use the lightest one i could get.

Well its true, if you blow through 3 clutches on 600HP something isnt right considering cheap clutches can handle 600HP, **** my stocker was seeing 500HP and holding, although i wasnt on sticky tires.

If I'd blow through one of these, I'd be pissed, for as much as they cost and there would be no way, as long as it failed while within the specifications of it, that I would ever purchase another product from them.
want to be called a basher so i wasnt going to say what clutch i had .but i guess to make it clear all three were textrallia. brad why are you so defenceive? but just so you now i had the fastest 6 speed gto in the country in 06 i guess my driving would be called average atleast.

like to punish people much
Maybe the breakin was not followed or he got a bad clutch
