Default FS: 1999 Trans Am American Iron Race Car $15,000

I hate to do it, but this economy is hitting my pocketboot too much to keep the car right now. The sad part is, it is just finished sorting out. It is ready to go for the 2009 NASA American Iron season.

I have a ton of pictures. Here are a couple ones from Harris Hill Road in San Marcos Texas.

Email me at rayman@openarmsagency.org or give me a call at 361-548-8373 if you want more information.

The car is fully sorted out. I had a rough time with it last year and completely rebuilt the motor a second time and it is solid and mean sounding now!

At TWS in August the car weighed about 3200lbs without me in it. I have pulled another 50lbs or so out of it since then. It still has door bars and the original rear glass, so more is left to take out.

Here are the details:

-1999 Trans Am

-completely rebuilt LS1 with LG Motorsports G5-X3 cam, double would springs, titaium retainers and seats, LS-6 heads,
LS-6 intake, all new bearings, rings, ported Katech oil pump, SLP double timing chain, new waterpump, brand new Turn One power steering pump, long tube headers into dual 3" exhaust with 3" flowmasters for quiet tracks(less than 95db with the mufflers) or straight pipes out the back. This motor should be putting out around 410-420rwhp. I was going to run a restrictor plate in AI.

-custom full cage with doorbars on both sides built by the infamous Landrum/Warren gang

-new strano swaybars front and rear

-new Koni adjustable shocks front and rear, Eibach Pro-kit

-C5 front brakes with Carbotech XP-12 pads and cooling ducts(No hose yet)

-Kirkey Delux Road Racing seat with Blaine fabrication cage mount

-new camlock G-Force Pro harness

-Momo steering wheel with quick release and Blaine fabrication mount

-custom aluminum T-Top repalcement panels

-1 set of 17x9.5 black ZR-1 replica wheels

-1 set of 18x 9.5 silver aftermarket wheels (the ones in the pictures)

-Optima redtop battery

-Cool suit setup with shirt

Here is a video of the car idleing in the shop....sounds good.

Here is a video from 11/8/08 at Harris Hill Road. I posted the one with a little spin in it for fun. I was running in a class of Z-06's, Twin Turbo 911's and GT-2's on two year old Hoosiers....not the best game plan. But the car ran perfectly.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I really need to sell the car. It is ready to go, and will be running in PCA and NASA events in the next months.

I will lower the price to $12,999

This car could very easily be an AIX car if anyone wants to run it in that class too.

Of course I have more than 12.9 in the car, but we all know how that story ends.

Email me at rayman@openarmsagency.org or give me a call at 361-548-8373 if you have questions. Anyone is welcome to come and check it out. I can help with transportation too.
