If your only shifting at 5500RPM, the stock rod bolts will be fine, and IMO will most likely be a LOT more reliable.

Katech rod bolts are made for this exact purpose. If you install them correctly you will not have any problems. I would give those guys a call and talk to them about the rod bolts. Alot more knowledge than anyone here can give you.
