Nope, my passenger side bag is still there; but if it's as heavy as the other one, it may be worth taking out.

I toyed with taking out the passenger side airbag when I first bought my car several years ago. It can be done, even though I never did. You'll need to remove the whole dash assembly from the car to reach it. If you are creative and proficient enough you could remove the cover on the dash for the airbag and make yourself a nice guage setup in its' place.
