I thought it would be cool to see on how horrible the tires could get after a good day at the track.

So where was that tyre? If on the front it looks like you need a wheel alignment

2008 STI; all wheel drive Subi? Depends on tire pressure and temperature profile, but it looks like you need to run some more camber.

Was the car pushing? Was this tire on the left front? What track? What tire and tire pressure?

BTW my tires, even my street tires never looked like that.

I didn't elaborate above....You need more negative camber, are you running any at all?

As folks have already suggested, your tire condition is not normal. I could be wrong, but I don't think it's from an alignment issue. I think you have a form of "cold tearing". This happens when the outer surface of the tire is hot, but the inner depths of the tire are not up to temperature yet. Basically pushed the tire too hard too soon.
