Default F-body oil pans

I'm new to road racing, but are any of you f-body guys running pans other than stock? Baffled pans, is there a need for them? I aim to build a Trans Am version of GMHTP's "STI Killer".

I run a stock pan, and 60+ days on track. Conventional wisdom is to overfill a quart. There are baffle options out there though.

Stock pan with this is all you need and is the best thing to do. Some people feel the stock pan actually is part of the strength of the block but I have no idea on that one.

thanks for the link! And yes, the oil pan on all lsx engines is a structural part of the engine.

Get the improved racing baffle or any good baffle out there on the market and have the piece of mind. If you are on decent tires and know how to drive you can starve the engine in long continuous corners
