Default I don't know what to get

So I have about 25k for a new car, and I'm not sure what to get. I want a car that will perform well on the drag strip and on the track. I've been looking at American cars such as the 02 camaro ss/trans am ws6, the ls2 gto or the ls6/ls2 cts-v and imports like the 370z, s2000, evo, e46 m3.

Any suggestions? I know that this forum is for American cars but please try not to be biased

C5 Z06? Unless you need the back seat room? That would be my choice.

I had similar goals and decided to build my own. My tube chassis is stronger and wont rust out in 20 years turning your investment into scrap. 400 HP LS1 in a 2300 lb car is hard to beat.

^^ pretty sick car.

OP, how about a 13 gt. Just the base model and strip it and just add suspension.

Buy a 2012 Mustang GT with Brembo's.

M3 is a sound choice for a track car.

25k for a 'new' car, would get you a slightly used Mustang GT 5.0. One of my coworkers bought a stripped down one, rubber steering wheel, cloth seats, no extra frills but with Brembo brakes! Go figure. I have the '08 GT and no comparisson, the 5.0 runs hard

C5 Z06 if you're single and an E46 M3 if not. Or if 200 bhp doesn't bother you, a BRZ would be fun as hell

Well if it was me, with around 25k to spend, there are a few nice late model 90's Vipers (Both RT/10's and GTS') in my local area that would be at home in my garage with a grand or two left to spare.

It is a Factory Five Racing Daytona Coupe kit.

https://www.factoryfive.com/kits/type-65-coupe/

Base Kit is $15,990. Add engine, trans, 8.8 rear, tank, rims, tires, spindles, brakes, and a few small misc items. It can be done for 25k. I had mine street legal and on the track for 27k.

You can buy a track-prepared. fully-sorted, caged, C5Z with a log book for less than $25K.

I have my track prepped C5 Z06 that has everything anyone would need for a road course and it's priced at $19,000. It's not street legal though. But I have my 28ft enclosed trailer to go with it as a total package for $27k total. You won't find a better price out there on a fast car.

If I had $25k to play with I'd get rid of my American Iron Camaro and buy an ST2 corvette or a TA2/SCCA GTA tube frame stock car/Camaro.

Depending on exactly what your needs are, a C5 Z06, STI/EVO, M3 or 5.0 Mustang are all great options within your price range.

I hate imports, but if you want a good track/street/drag car...you won't do much better than a modified STI Subie

Here is my C5 Z06 if you happen to be interested in a track car. Has everything you would need and more... fast and reliable.
