If you are going to track day or Autocross your car stay away from ANY tubular K member.

That cooler above on a track day car is useless.

They are useless as any type of cooler in my opinion.

This is why you stay away from tubular K members. My stock K member cracked with me on Nitto NT-05 street tires.

Mines a drift car, so PS cooler is mandatory lol. That style takes less damage from flying objects compared to the tub/fin style.

Back on topic, nice cold under penetrating welds from GM, thanks. Thats interesting where it broke since there really isnt any added bracing there for the most part in my umi road race K member. Do you have SFC's? I see a roll bar, is it a full cage? In all honesty though, my UMI should be a lot stronger than the stock K member. Just in the fact that its tigged 4130 vs cold rolled cheap as dirt plate cold mig welded by an idiot robot. Only time will tell, Im definitely not throwing away my stocker, just in case lol

The cooler makes no difference if it takes rock hits or not, if it doesn't cool.

4 point bar, frame connectors.

In all honesty, you'd be wrong on the K member.

A drift car sees a fraction of the load on the K member a high grip track day car does.

That cooler works great for me, and several of my friends.

I will agree to disagree on the k member strengths...I just dont see it. Laying them out side by side and knowing how much stronger the 4130 is vs the crap steel GM used. If mine breaks at the A arm mount I'll just weld in some 1/4" boxed brackets there.

True, drift cars dont see the same stress on the chassis as a real race car.
