Tires still rubbing Before I ever raced on the 17x11 50mm AFR's with 315's, we banged in the wheel well where it was close to the tire.
After the first event, there were nice arcs on both inner fenders indicating more massaging was needed. The center of these arcs seemed structural as the BFH would merely bounce off them.
I just ran my second event on these wheels, and they are scraping again, but in a different area.
My rear suspension is stock with the exception of shocks and Hotchkis non-adjustable panhard bar. Could it be that I need to address something in the chassis?

I'm thinking you might have stuff in the rear that binds (poly bushings)... maybe going with rod-ends would eliminate your issues.

Yes, the rear inner fenders have been beat on twice. I haven't looked since the last event, but if memory serves it was on just one side which was really bad. I'll take another look tonight. I'm using Victoracers.
The poly bushings on that panhard bar are going on 130K miles. I plan on getting a LGM or UE double-adjustable panhard bar, but it'll be at least another month. Should I just run on my non-R 285's until this is fixed?

If it's one side only, then it has to be the diff moving or is off center.
Either of those parts would be a good choice. I haven't used any of Jason's parts, but my LGM PHB is quiet.

If you keep being lazy, I'll probably end up with them at some point. I only have to pay the clerk of court a third of what you had to pay your attorney. I'll check back in a few months since you don't appear to be in a huge rush.
What FM-5's??? How much??? Jim I have the same combo and I have no rubbing unless I load up the rear with junk. Mine use to run on the drivers side, but I have an adjustable panhard bar so I centered mine and the rubbing went away.. Now back to those wheels.

You'll have to talk to George (GTB/ZR-1) about the FM5's. I'll see him tomorrow at our autocross event.
Did you get a double-adjustable panhard, or the rod-end/poly combo? My rubbing only comes on the autox in hard right-hand turns (IIRC), with the car empty when using the 315's.
How come you're running those puny 275's on the front?
I ran my race 4x315's on the street for two days, and liked it enough I'm interested in running 4x315's year around.

I will plan a time to come check them out soon. I go pick up my SS on the 21st from Futral Motorsports. Jim do you know how much lighter are the FM-5's compared to our ZR1's?
