What rear end/ diff for road racing camaro?

The watts adjustment will make the biggest difference, and it only take a minute to change. Up=oversteer, down=understeer. Tightening the sway bar will increase oversteer. I wouldn't worry about too much oversteer with 150lb springs. The moment you drop the roll center you will realize they are too soft.

I currently have the Watts link set up 2nd from the top and my sway bar on the softest setting. Only ran half a season with these parts so I have not done too much trial and error. Thanks for the simplified tips...saved to my Notes on my phone lol.

My 2 cents:
3 of us F-body guys in the SE run 10 bolts with Detroit Trutracs. None of us have ever had any issues with them. We run from 330-360 rwhp and weigh anywhere from 2900-3300 lbs.

For me 3 years of racing and numerous DE's prior to that. When I bought the car I installed the Trutrac and installed axle bearings. I change the fluid a few times a year. Both of the other guys I referred to have raced for longer than I have.

Okay so this would be great experience for my issue, but these cars are making 140-170rwhp less than my car. I'm still skeptical that a 10 bolt will last behind 500rwhp.

I have been De'ing my car for 4 years with the 10 bolt. The car had 180,000 miles when I started, 231,000 now.
1 complete rebuild, bearings and seals.
1 set of axle bearings and seals after that.
MIne makes 385rwhp and weighs 3800lbs.

Boss002, you think the oversteer tendency of the TruTrac could be taken out by tuning the rear swaybar/spring combo? Having a 3 way adjustable rear bar along with a 7way adjustable Watts Link I would THINK one could tune out the oversteer of the diff. This is on Strano 150lb springs.
I'm still up in the air what direction I want to go. TruTrac has an appealing price vs Auburn Race Diff though.

Of course you could help change the the tendency of oversteer, rear shock, watts, spring, heck even tire pressure. I was just saying with a neutral to slightly pushy setup before I have less initial bite and it requires more throttle patients. It was untested going into nationals and since I've only owned the car 2 months until then I didn't feel like changing anything since i'm not 100% familiar with it yet.
also 3478lbs with driver and around 360whp only running 315 hoosiers, but also only 52k miles

Last Fall, I put a Mark Williams 12 bolt 31 spline TrueTrac in mine. The 9-bolt was having pinion bearing vibration, so I swapped. MWC does have a good fab9, but it wasn't for me and I already had the BMR trak pak in the car. I'm just short of 400rwhp; after a h/c/i someday, I'll be just short of 500rwhp.
