It doesn't have to be a Vette/Camaro, right?

Wow a race Caddy...what made you dive into that platform?

Drivetrain is nice, but I figured everything else is a pain to work with given low volume of that car.

For the most part the drivetrain is based on the C5 Z06 with the LS6. I just wanted to be a bit different. Everyone already ran a C5Z and jumping up to the C6 was more $ at the time.

I already had experience doing DE's and worked out the kinks plus the car had maybe 12k miles at the time of conversion so I knew it was a solid platform.

I managed to track down builders/data/parts from when they ran in Grand-AM & World Challenge and went from there.

Some parts are more of a challenge than others. A last minute rule change while being built placed the car in a different class so its a little lonely on a regional level sometimes. I have the option to class up but need to up the horsepower and spend some $.

I still would like to run a Vette or Camaro build down the road.

Dry sump LS7, T56 Magnum, 8.8" 3.73 Cobra IRS. 2950lbs wet with driver made for a very fun car.

315front and 335rear.... super easy car to drive at the limit. Drove it on the street in same trim (rear wing removed).

I suppose I'll add mine as well. Last year was my first year doing autocross. I have since fallen in love with the sport.

A couple more pictures..... full street car. It is cheaper to buy one than build one once you put in stroker motor, T56 Magnum, big brakes/wheels/bodywork that is for sure.

I don't have any uploaded video of my car; however here is a buddies car with 300lbs less weight and about 100rwhp more! Its a full race RX-7 with Quaiffe sequential running a MAST 416/dry sump and 18x12's all corner.
