Evergreen Speedway Autocross 4/23
First time at the track with the watts link setup. Car seemed much more controllable on throttle. I felt perfectly comfortable getting sideways at 50mph. Still fighting brake hop under hard braking, maybe its time to get rid of my LCA relocation brackets. Managed to sneak in a few dry runs, then started raining. Probably gave ride alongs to over half the people there, my car seems to be a popular attraction
1st in class, 1st overall: https://speedhive.mylaps.com/Sessions/4343039

Maybe so but I have yet to see another event that gives you 30+ runs in a day and no course work...

Considering every "sanctioned" event within 200 miles of me only allows up to 6 runs for the day, barley enough to heat up my tires, this event is perfect for testing setup changes.
Don't get me wrong this isn't a serious event, but it's 10 min from my house and I get lots of cheap seat time.

I would venture out and attend a sanctioning event at some point. I see the benefit to 30+ runs, but when you only do those loose events you get comfy.
When you race with people that build to a class and have been to national events, you really start to see how good you are. It's good to talk to people and grow your talents.
Not to mention big national style higher speed events are NOTHING like what you run there, large sweeping turn at speed and having the car come unsettled is a pucker moment if you never had that before LOL Braking zones are completely different and suspension setup can be different.

I have been to several SCCA events, I just usually end up running in time only and still usually finish in the top 5 overall. But I don't really want to turn my car into a class killer. I just want something that I can cruise around in (AC/Full Interior/Sound System...etc), then go to the track and surprise a few people. If I wanted a dedicated track weapon I would get a Miata
I would love to do a national style track but up North we really don't have that much variety in the type of events that are available.
