my last visit with LG Motorsports
so i take my busted rearend to LG's and say "hey, its gotta busted auburn, swap it with a torsen, swap in this replacement axle (bad bearing race on the passenger side) and since it has no studs, go ahead and upgrade to 1/2 x 20 3" studs on both."
Louis (Lou's crew cheif and son) ran around town for 2 hours (from what i heard from the front desk) looking for studs cause the ones he ordered where not gonna be here in time (needed the rear today).
he not only installed the studs, but he TIG welded them in 2 places on the back just in case. now mike, man what a great guy. he says to me "hey, i had some left over studs laying around (i guess they were for SBC mains) and thought i would stud the caps in your diff. oh and the pinion yoke was crap, here is a good one, i dont need it, you can have it." he then mods the Mac diff cover to clear the stud nuts.
after an hour under the car, myself and mitch installed the rear, blead the brakes and i took it out for some test abuse. all i can say is i'm very happy. Louis and Mike have done me right, and i'm very happy with the service i got from them and LG's as a whole. they will get my money every chance i get to spend it there. not to mention that louis and lou both will stop and shoot the **** with you and answer any questions you have about parts (other vendors and their) and questions you may have on fine tuning your suspention for Auto-x or RR.
also got to see Godspeed's vett and the newly installed cage. man, very nice.
thumbs up for Lou and his crew.
