Default 315s all around

Notice a lack of posts, so here goes.
I've posted this on the other forum and have had a few responses there but would like to ask again on opinions on running 315/35/17s front and back. I have 17x10.5 wheels on back with 315 Yoko 032As. I trial fitted the rears on the front and they fit pretty good, the tires are flush with the fender tops and could really use about a 1/4 inch or so more backspacing but I think that that would give me some rubbing at full lock on my brake ducting. My question is this, would the 315s make enough of a difference to offset the cost of the two new wheels{180.00 a piece}? Also to the people that are running 315s, do you ever have clearence problems at the top of the fender during hard transitions especially when hitting bumps. I rolled one tire up on a ramp to flex the suspension as much as I could and the tire did not hit, will it?

I know that a relative of mine who has 315s all the way around on his FireHawk Formula kills his hubs.

But it bites like a ***** ....

I dont think tha it was the grip that killed them. It was just time. The goodyear Race slicks that I ran had more grip than that, and I had 80K on mine.

Well, how bout it? Would the 315s be worth the effort? Somebody has got to have first hand knowledge. I no longer put many miles on it so as long as they would last 20-30K miles or so I would be fine. The only thing I'm worried about would be the fitment issues I was asking about and the extra weight of the bigger rims and tires as opposed to the hopefull gains in traction. Would they maybe get rid of a little front end push. Also is this a good idea for all around better handleing {track days, fun in the mountains} or is it mostly going to be for AutoX?

Yes, I would do it if I didnt daily drive my car. It will get rid of the push, and it may make it a little loose. It is going to take some track time and testing to figure out. Not that big of a deal, But just make sure that you take the time to do it right.

The added weight of the bigger wheel is not that much. Think, its a no brainer for us to put the 11" rims on the rear, why not all the way around?

G2 LS1, what are the reasons you wouldn't want the 315's on the front of your daily driver? I have always wanted to do it, but am worried with how low my front sits.

There is some rubbing when full lock is reached, and I tend to hit that a lot. On the track however, you never turn that far at all.
