Default Electric water pumps and RR

Do any of you run an electric water pump and road race? Granted I have a LT1 and my case is a little different but just wondering how they held up or if it was a good idea or bad?

Bad idea for road racing. OK for daily driving and/or drag setup.

Just kinda wondering....I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place

The only double roller timing chain I can find and use, I can't use the stock LT1 water pump..I have to use an electric pump. I'm using a solid roller cam, and the added insurance of the double roller chain would be nice.

They never make it easy do they?

Yeah lots of people have the same problem. If you road race you'll need to run a good single chain and risk it.
