WS6 vs Porsche??
Your right about the weight difference (GT3 is right at 2000lbs & 430hp) . Last year I raced with the Porsche Club of America and was 3-4 seconds off their times. I was still running stock F1 tires, sway bars, shocks, and pads. I'm hoping I can close the gap this year.

Nice video How long was that course?? Your Hot Rod sounds good I'm interested to see how I fair this year, hopefully I can get close to them. The only suspension mod I have left in Lower A-frames and I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll make.
Fancy meeting you here I think your right, maybe we'll get lucky and he'll have a bad season . I guess we'll just have to "drive it like you stole it"
Wiesbaden is great, ate a Jag this morning for breakfast coming home through the mountains

That guy was a really nice guy. We talked afterwards and he said he thought we were pretty evenly matched. I suggested he follow me out and critique my line.
After that run, he came up and said the car was a rocket. He couldn't keep up ...
Go out for 1st session. Pass lots of cars, nobody passes me. Upon pulling back into parking lot a number of Porsche and BMW owners make their way over to me and my car to ask what the hell I've done to it to make it so fast. I tell them it's stock with differant exhaust and a lid + some suspension work.

I have found the same thing ...
There is a small group of us "outcasts" who run F-Bods with Porsche, BMW, etc. and by and large there is a LOT of mutual respect.
But occasionally, an owner just can't believe that a car costing 1/3 of theirs will outperform a "sportscar".
I actually had an 5 series owner "complain" to me in grid once saying ...
"Must be nice to have twice the horespower."
To which I responded ... "And at 1/2 the price."
He wasn't happy ...
A friend and I raced last year with the Porsche Club of America(auto-X) and at the end of the season the courses where extremely small, in street trim, our times where faster than half the field. Can't wait to see what it'll be like with sticky tires!!!

I could tell you were having to check up behind him. It's still surprising to me how little most Porsche and BMW owners know about the modern fbody. My typical lapping day goes like this. Pull into parking lot. Porsche owners are talking to other Porsche owners. BMW owners are talking to other BMW owners. There is some intermingling among these 2 groups. Nobody notices me or my car.

Let him chase an fbody thru the turns for 30 minutes and find out that they really do handle. Then let him see what an LS1 will do to him on the straights. I would never want to take anything away from a Porsche. They have great handling, great brakes, and depending on the model, adequate to excellent acceleration straight off the show room floor. But if a Porsche owner wants to keep up with a 15-25K fbody with $1500 in suspension mods on a road course, he's going to have to spend ALOT more money than the fbody guy does. Particularly on high-speed tracks. I thoroughly enjoy proving this
PS Once I get my new Prospeed GT3 brake kit on my car, I will have addressed the only shortcoming that I feel that my car has. With major brakes under me I'll then be ready to do what LS1's do best. Make more power. I'll Add about 100-125 rwhp to it. When I do that all I can say is "Porsche/BMW owner you are fucked !! " hehehe !
Don't even THINK about hanging with a well driven GT3R Porsche cupp car on a road course. Porsche fanatics are thinking the GT3 cupp car will be faster than the Turbo GT-2... which is Wicked Fast at Road Atlanta!!!
