My first time out was at the same event as Racehead (we took first BTW :p ).
these events are always fun. Nothing like hauling *** on a public highway and being encouraged to do it. No you do not need a larger fuel tank. A stock Fbody tank will be fine all the way up the 150mph target speed class (that means you average 150mph from start to finish). However, you will not need to worry about making the 150mph class or even the 140 class for you first event. Fastest you can run in your first event even with a waiver is 130mph average speed class. If you dont have a waiver I think you have to run the 110mph average class.
Best thing to do would be to go to the site that I linked in my previous post and download the rules. Right there will give you a good idea of what you need to do to your car for any given class. All of it is safety related, there are NO rules concerning the motor other than no nitrous is allowed. The faster you plan on going the more money you are going to spend just making the car meet the safety requirements and setting up everything to survive at speed.
