Hmm... *chin scratch* so, a 232 @ .006" = 281 @ .050 therefore 234=283 and 242=291? That sounds really streetable to me. Of course, my experience is with drag racing. My instructor said 292/306 on a 114 with 4.10's was perfect street/strip cam. That's a lot like the Edlebrock Performer RPM in a SBC. I think I WILL go with the G5X3 and get the 3.73's and advance it if I don't like where it's at. Lou says he drives all his cams on the street and it IS very streetable. My friend has one in his 'vette and he'll let me take it for a spin. If I don't like how it handles coming out of corners, I'll go smaller.

It is a very streetable cam (with proper tuning). No doubt. Just more aggressive than an XE grind (which checks in at about 53+ when doing the .006 - .050 analysis).

Wait, I'm lost. You're saying the G5X3 is actually 287/295? That's still pretty mild with proper tuning. I was gonna get tuned by my buddy, went halfs with him on a proggy for two licenses. He can get it close enough where I could drive it down to Lou and have him retune it. If I could get him to come out here, it would be worth an extra $100 or so for the flight. Almost pointless to drive to thier elevation, then climb back up to my almost 5Kft elevation.
