TWS is for Sale For anyone that has raced at / driven / been at TWS, it is being sold. Most likely it will turn into some housing development. It was my favorite track in Texas, especially turn 1 / 2 combo. I sure will miss it.

It sold for 11 million I heard. The guy that bought it has a HUGE car collection and races. I am thinking that it will be kept as it. Apparently this guy tried to buy it a few years ago. Again this is what I heard so I don't know if it is true. I heard this 2 weekends ago because I was there for SCCA.

Sadly it'll take a boatload more coin that the purchase price to get it back up to par.
I remember hearing(?) about a needing complete resurface, whole new facilities, and something about the stands foundation being whack.

The oval needs a resurface badly... when we test there we bring 30 sets of sticker tires for a 2 and a half day test@ 450 a tire they'll go almost 10 laps...It usually ends up raining so we have the rental car gran prix on the road course..of courrse seing 205mph going into turn 3 is pretty exciting.. if that track had a date it would without a doubt be the fastest on the circut by far..... rumor has it Penske was testing a cup car there a few years back and speeds as fats as 217 were logged in data....

I currently work for a Craftsman truck series team based out of Las Vegas... been there on and off for 7 years did a short tour of NC and worked for a few teams but decided to come back west the east coast isnt really for me... truck number 77 South Point Hotel and Casino ... Chevy ...

Once you said a truck team, I was afraid you were gonna say TOY.
To bring this back from the dead and a little update. A few friends of mine met the new owner this past weekend and he's looking to update the track. He's taking in wish-lists from the people running the groups that are there regularly towards improving the garages, the pit area and so on and so forth. Hopefully we can expect to see TWS improve under the new owner. He seemed excited to be out there.
