Default LG Motorsports, thanks.

Well i would like to thank Bobby and the crew at LG Motorsports for the help. I started off with a 99 SS A4 with a Performabuilt LevII trans and vert, PatG spec cam, 228/230.59X. So i wanted to try road racing so i went last year to a redline time attack event and loved it. I bought some stock rotors and some hawk pads, changed all the fluids, took out the seats, ac, spare tire and a few other small things like speakers and some trim,(162lbs)and went to Sumittpoint WV. I had DSW springs on the car. Well the car did good and i got 3rd. Now this is on street tires, Kuhmos Ecsta MX. Nothing great, but overall a good street tire.
So fast forward to this year, same tires,(16k on them now) added all the things i took out,(162lbs)ac,seats,trim, speakers and trim)
Made a call to Bobby at LG and told him what i wanted the car to do. (Still had to drive the car ever day on the street) Well bobby got me a great set of pads and rotors and Lg springs and Bilsteins. Went back to the track and ran 1 second faster. Very happy and like to say thanks for the advise and help, also thank to Mitch for his advise. This is only my 2nd time road racing this car so i was very happy with the results.

1:46.819 2006 Redline Time Attack SummitPoint VW.

Once you take a hit off the pipe, you can never go back the drag racing.

Damian,

You need to come down to VIR with me man, and do an HPDE. Once you go there, you'll never want to go anywhere else. I usually go down with a group, and we flop in a room together. You could stay with us for free, space available. I'll let you know the next time we are going.

It will probabaly be in April-ish for me.

Yea, that is a must.. i love VIR. Im trying to get some V brakes to fit my car. lol well the 14in rotors and caiplers. Have a EVO we just got done working on with coilovers and alot of Susp work that will be coming down with me. Let me know when you go. Also looking foward to seeing how this new cam works out for you. Hey did you ever get a time at VIR?? or just some HPDE without time. I like to see before and after time to see if i am getting better or worse. Shop is coming along, got some paiting and dry walling todo still.

I wasn't in car timing or anything. A buddy put a stop watch on ame a few laps, and I was turning 2:26 - 2:28 on the full course. Not too bad with a full weight car, on street tires, with a fairly inexperienced driver

Damian,

Are you going to MVP/Lindsay's track day in may? They will probably let you go since you are know entity to the V community.

I'll definately be there.
Gonna be nuts seeing all us 4000 Lbs'ers running around Shenandoah.
