Default T Bryne kinda screwed me

Last month I ordered a set of TOG headers from T Bryne Motorsports. Well its been almost a month since I ordered them and they told me 7 to 10 days. So I sent them a e-mail and they sent me one back with the UPS info stating that they had already been delivered. Well they were delivered to Iowa. I live in Sacramento C.A.. So ill called them and they told me that is was my fault, that I gave them the wrong address. They wernt completely rude but there was some rudeness. Well when they sent me my order conformation e-mail it had the correct address. I got a e-mail back from them and they told me that they would send me some other TOG headers but they have the EGR hook up and the A.I.R hook ups. I dont have thoses on my truck. I know they will fit, but if I welded the EGR and A.I.R holes up it would make those headers ileagle, not smog leagle. So I told them I wanted the headers I ordered. Then they told me that they would see what they could do to get me my headers I ordered. That didnt make any sense to me. I didnt see why they couldnt send me another set. Then they told me that they were going to get the set they sent to Iowa and then re-send those to me, makeing me wait and wait. What kinda upset me is they really didnt offer me a discount or any compesation except a set of headers that wouldnt be smog leagle on my truck. Im not talking **** about them, not at all. Im just a little upset with how I was treated on the phone. Im not one to talk **** about people. I just wanted to tell everyone about my experince with T Bryne Motorsports. I had a bad one. I have no hard feelings, I just want my headers I spent $750 on.

So in a nut shell, they admitted it was their mistake in shipping and then they are making you wait for their mistake while they can send you another set they have in stock. If is is the case, this is an unfair business practice.

ya i had so trouble deallin with t byrne when getting my s/c and h/c package. their secratery sucks. i never got my specs on my heads. she told me that my programer for the radix would match my new heads and cam. it didnt. and then it took 2 months to get my "7-10 buisness days" heads in. They have nice products at ok prices but their service isnt the best by any means.

Seems at $750 was no super deal,I would get my money back and start over, you could call TOG they are in cali, seems they would ship from there anyways.

LTNK
Why would you buy heads from him ?There are so many good places you can deal direct with so they get your application right and get a killer deal.

I ordered from TByrne once and was not very impressed. I ordered a set of sway bars and trailing arms from them in March of this year and they didn't ship until 7 weeks later. But he charged my card immediately and had my money for that whole time (illegal in California, not sure about New Hampshire or wherever he is). Granted, there were problems with the vendor (Hotchkis), but because I was such a low priority to TByrne, I ended up having to establish communications with Hotchkis myself directly because TByrne pretty much forgot about me as soon as he charged my card. There were other f-ups as well along the way, but suffice it to say that when all was said and done, he never even so much as said he was sorry, much less offered me any compensation.

I'll gladly pay more elsewhere before I ever buy from TByrne again.

You may want to consider demanding your money back and getting the headers from someone/somewhere else.

How did we screw you with an honest mistake? Unfortunately most people aren't perfect so that does happen sometimes. I heard about this issue the other day and it is being taken care of.

So in a nut shell, they admitted it was their mistake in shipping and then they are making you wait for their mistake while they can send you another set they have in stock. If is is the case, this is an unfair business practice.
That part number probably isn't in stock at our facility or TOG. Most of the headers with nickle plating are available.

You never said anything about that on the phone or in person. Seems like people only talk from behind a keyboard. Alot of heads are made to order for specific applications so they can't be sent in a day. I waited 2 months for a set of heads that were going to be ready in 2 weeks. They still weren't ready so I canceled that order and bought a new truck. So even I have to wait for parts sometimes...

Just because someone else lies to you about when you are going to recieve something doesnt mean thats ok to do So now its just expected for companies to say one thing and provide another?

Well, I can't say I am surprised in the least by his reply. I don't think he is capable of saying "I'm sorry."

No, it's not lying it's uncontrollable circumstances. We all wish we could snap our fingers and have parts in hand when we want them but that doesn't happen much. Manufacturers give vendors ship dates that can come and go. This doesn't happen all the time but it can be a pain when it does.

I am sorry that he didn't receive the order when he was supposed but some people expect vendors to come on the net and explain each detail of each order to the world. That is usually handled between the vendor and customer. Besides not having to do that I don't see or handle most orders that come in. They are usually being handled by others.

Yes it can be, but it should not be the customers pain.

This is an excellent example of the difference between an average or below average company and a good company. The first thing a good company does when there is a problem is say "I'm sorry," where an average or below average company starts pointing fingers.

I wish I would have seen this trait with TByrne as clearly as I do now before I placed my order back in March.

No, some people twist things to make it seem different than what is really is. That is where the "behind the keyboard" thing comes in. Some people hide behind their keyboard and type what ever they want while others just don't know all of the details and only make assumptions on what they have read. No matter how much a company tried to take care of an issue there will be people that will still find fault. Just read through the other threads in this section. It's always another company's turn to have a "problem thread".

Mistakes and delays happen to all vendors. We don't like it but the chances are greater with the high volume of orders that come in. We do try to take care of any issues that arise.

How is it that you guys at tbryne couldnt say sorry when i called but you can say sorry in a e-mail??? And you guys at tbryne sent my order somewhere else that was not my home. And you guys couldnt even explaine to why that happened. I posted this NOT to start problems buty I wanted everyone to know what happend to me. What really pisses me off is that I cant even get a discount because of this **** UP.

I have to say starting your title of the post "T Bryne kinda screwed me" Is way overstating the facts. They shipped the wrong headers to the wrong place sometimes this happen it is a rare thing. They most likely offered you the other headers as an alternative option. He most likely didnt have another set avaliable in stock to ship you that is why you had to wait. Not ever part is in stock at every warehouse at every moment.

It doesnt really seem like you guys really gave a **** about my problem. And that really hurt my feelings as a FIRST TIME costomer. And now you are trying to make me out to be a dick and that was never my intentions. so you are making your company look even worse.

Mistakes do happen and we don't know all the details but 7-10 days does not equal 1 month. Just because you have to wait for your own parts doesn't prove anything. I'm not accusing you of running a bad company but a good company knows that the consumer is always right. Yeah there are delays from diffrent vendors and shipping mistakes but those are things a good company doesn't have. There is little room for mistakes in the business world and pointing fingers no matter who is at fault accomplishes nothing, the bottom line is his experience as well as others has been crappy dealing with your company. That is something you need to change or this type of bad word of mouth will happen.
