Thumbs up Initial dyno results for Magnacharged 69 SS

Took the '69 to MTI tonight (we were there until 9pm!) and did some drivability tuning on the car. Put it on the wideband and did a series of lower rpm tests to check everything out.

Finally got things somewhat going and it put down:

506 rwhp @ 5500 rpm
501 ft-lbs @ 4500 rpm

The blower makes over 400 ft-lbs at just over 2000 rpm! damn

Anyways, I had some leaking header collector slip-on flanges and it was messing with the O2 readings (sucking in fresh air at the collector). So, we couldn't push it further. I'll get those slip-on crappers removed and weld the pipe up on Saturday and take it back for round 2 of the tuning.

I'm happy with 500/500, as it was my initial goal with this 93 octane tune. I'm thinking it could probably hit 530+ with some more tweaking, maybe more.

Boost was 8.5 psi indicated. Fuel pressure a steady 60 psi.

348ci LS6 forged internal (MTI)
MTI Stage 2R LQ4 heads (9.5CR)
230/230 .581 114 cam
Magnacharger with intercooler (based on new GTO kit)

500 is alot on the street. My last LS1 project (the blue Formula in my sig) put down 525/519 on motor alone. I couldn't floor it until the top of 3rd gear or it would just roast the tires.

But, that is fun

Hey Levi, did you "S1" the Cannibal yet? MUAHAHAHA! Get ready for some more fun....

Payne, not sure on the weight yet. I'll find out when I go to a track. The car is mostly a cruise-night roller, but I plan on drag racing it as well. 6-point cage coming soon, as well as drag wheels/tires.....and nitrous!

I don't think the car even needs nitrous, Tony.

I think it'll clutter up the engine bay too much. The current setup is so clean and concise. I really think it's awesome as is
