Lockup convertor in 3rd at WOT using Edit?
Is there anyway to program the computer to lock up the convertor at WOT when I hit third gear using LS1 Edit? Or do I have to use a lock-up switch?
Go to Transmission Calibration>A4TCC>TCC MPH Threshold look at the 3rd gear Apply threshold and set to your Mph you want this to be.
Or edit the Normal Mode MPH vs TPS% or the
Performance Mode MPH Vs TPS% and edit the 3rd gear lock up at a percent of TPS per step, if it has 255 in every box this is the miles/per/hour the car has to reach before lockup.

I'm locking my converter (stock) up using LS1Edit at 75 mph. No numbers on if its helping though. It does seem to pull harder up top.
I know some people lock up the TC at 50 mph in 3rd and 4th.
I might do that, but unlock it at 140mph in 4th.
top speed:I went from 147 stock stall to 152 with the 4k.
when it shifts into 4th, you feel it, not like it's dying, but waking up.

around 50 - 80 mph is fine for use on the dyno depending upon your gears. Dynoing on an unlocked high stall converter is just about worthless from a tuning perspective because the converter shift's extension does not allow you to tune the midrange and results in a skewed rpm & torque readings.

thats what i was referring to ,I have a 3:73 with the VIG 3600 , think 70 mph would be ok? dynoing isnt cheap around here so Id hate to loose money cause it didnt work

I was at the dyno a couple of days ago.. I had to run up to 70 mph then we started the run...so it wouldn't kick down..Anyway I would lock it from 70mph up..then your readings will be like 70-130mph...or whatever you rev to.

Is it bad for the converter to lock it at WOT?
