Yup me and my brother 9secbird finally lined em up on national t.v. It was a best of 5 and I nipped him out. This is gonna be the best show yet guys it'll be out sometime mid aug or sept. 2 wheelstanding f-bodies going door to door it was ******* AWESOME !! You guys really need to see this one. We had been battling it out for years now it s on t.v. What sucks is I don't get to keep his car it has to go on Ebay the day after the show for sale so if you want a nice as wheel satnding firebird keep watching

There was one episode where they actually gave the owner his car back on the show.

I guess the name of the show is actually starting to mean something.

 

I thought this as well. A racer here in Gainesville ran in the pinks show taping during May, show will among the first new ones next week. He said something about he can't sell the car for one year, otherwise he loses his car as well?!? He can sell it on Ebay and Pinks donates some/all of the money to charity?

I'm a little fuzzy on this, but discussed it at length with him at the track the week after the taping.

Thats kinda cool but kinda crappy. Why race for pinks if you can't keep the car you won?? So you go race you car & win then have to sell it on e-bay so the show makes even more money & all you get is braggin rights?? Hell you could have done that at the track or on the street without anyone losing the car.

Although I can't wait to see a ls1tech member whoopin some *** on there.

 

Todd sounds like he's taking it a LOT better than I would..... but WHY would he run you for the car if he knew you've always been quicker?

I mean.... I know it's "just" a car but damn. I could see a REAL healthy cash bet, but I'm not sure I'd ever risk my junk like that. Guess you guys are true drag racers. All or nuthin'.....

 

I'm deffinitely impressed that either of the Tosto cars were put on the line. Both look and run outstanding.

Having to sit on the car for a year or Ebay it only to turn a portion of the proceeds to PINKS or their chosen charity seems a bit much. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of charity just like the next guy, but when the premise of the show gives the winner of the race the losers car you would expect that to happen.

 

Here's the scoop I won the car its mine ,but it goes on ebay the day after the show because,

We are brothers PINKS new that we would just give our cars back to each other after the show. The show is real you lose the race you lose your ****. So in order to do the show we signed a contract saying that the losing car Todd's 68 firebird will go on ebay the day after the show airs with a reserve of $42,000.00 dollars and this car is well worth that price.

I'll tell you what this was the best racing I myself have ever seen on the show and everyone there will agree. I was so nervous the night before I almost said no you guys know how hard you work on your cars and then to lose it really sucks ,but hey we wanted to be on the show so thats the risk you take. These cars were leaving awesome. I can't wait to see it myself

All I can say is the whole cast of PINKS was great to deal with and work with everyone was super cool!

It sucks for Todd ,but in another light he's gonna build one bad *** new body style T/A I hope.

That would have really sucked if you lost your Orange car on Pinks to your brother, I can imagine how he feels.

 

42k reserve? So, what happens if it doesnt meet the reserve on ebay and nobody buys it?
