Default 05 cts-v swapped dynos and broke 500... dyno sheet included

went to Vengeance's dyno day... wanted to compare from the other shop in town that did my motor swap and as i figured my numbers improved by 5%... on my old ls6 i made 455/402 on Vengeance's dyno vs 431/381 on the other's... made 499/468 on new motor a week ago in same conditions and temp as today and again 5% gain... other cars seemed to be making what they should... another 05 v was there and it made in the 320s stock where mine made 328 with a cai... best thing about the day was i picked up a $100 dollar gift card for having the highest na car there dyno sheet attached

yeh the weird thing is that when the motor had literally 5-10 miles on it it was wot tunned and made 499/468 on injected's dyno, then 2500 miles later i had the cats gutted, took my cai box out and freed up 75% more area from the fender port to breath better... then took it back to injeced's dyno and had it leaned out 3% and i still dynoed 498/469... lost 1 hp and gained 1 tq lol... that was a week ago and the temp was the same today where i made 520/490... dynos are soo weird... i say if it runs good who cares but its still nice to look at big numbers

Thanks!! i just need to sort out the intake issue... martin at tick performance who speced the cam said it should peak at closer to 6400... i'm probably sometime in the future gonna take the cai completely off and run it speed density to see if it picks up or changes the graph at all... the air fuel ratio is richer than most here would like(11.9 for whole pull) but i'd rather have the cooler cylinder temps as i plan to road course it... still i was surprised it was that much different from the other dynojet here in town... even dynoed it under almost identical atmospheric conditions

i'm still usin the volant... i just opened up the fender port a bit and got rid of the plastic inside the fender to free it up a bit... didnt help anything though.... its my cai tube that's hurting me... it has a severe 90 on it that's a big factor... i need a more gradual 90 but then its gonna get real close to the radiator

That will hurt. Air does like to make a sharp turn.

Doesnt matter what air temp and humidity you dyno in, correction factors include that "correcting" the numbers

Depends, On a Dynojet you can display in 6 different sets. uncorrected, SAE, STD, DIN etc, all are slightly different. Uncorrected vs STD i've seen 30+hp differences.

yeh i don't know what they use for their numbers... I've heard they use STD, but i guess you'd have to ask to make sure

Congratulations on the big numbers, and winning our contest! And you are correct, we always run our dyno on STD correction.
