Complete 1994 Trans Am Restoration

Much appreciated! Never got to meet him. Sure he was an awesome guy from what I hear. I'm actually more of a import/turbo guy so this is new ground for me. I have an R35 as my "car" but I really like these cars a ton. Excited to get it rolling in a few months.

Well, since you have a 94, definitely get the ALDL cable and tuning/data logging programs. If you know how to tune, then you could do that with all your mods as you go. Not a bad investment for $60. The 94-95 LT1 F-Body has got to be one of the cheapest cars to tune.

Great job on the TA! I really like seeing these restoration threads.
Hard for me to believe these cars are already 20+ years old...seems like just last week I was a high school kid drooling over brand new ones in showrooms.

The upholstery guy was very confident he could get it looking great. Also got the transmission parts ordered if all goes well I will have the headliner and tranny back by the weekend.

We are using the valve body and harness from the 94 transmission that is junk to keep from having solenoid issues. Planning on a 3400 or so converter and a shift kit. Excited to have some movement from the ole thing in a few weeks

Can anyone confirm if the factory interior plastics are two tone? I have "graphite" a pillars console and dash but "light gray" seats carpet and all other plastics. Below is a pic of the color difference between the a pillar and sail panel. Thanks for the help. I'm trying to find out if I should re coat each as they are or pick on color and do it only.
