Don't believe Denmah usually boost references his regulators either? Thats going to limit the 80's a ton. Skinnies made 850+whp on a mustang dyno with 68 base, rising rate regulator, and 80's on 24lbs. Then ran 26lbs at the track maxing out DC. (3-255hp pumps)
Raise the base up to 65-68 and kick that second pump on in boost. Keep total pressure under 100 and you'll be fine.
Replacing the shitty godspeed 60mm WG with this emusa 60mm WG
The godspeed was pinched at the diaphram the first time i opened it than when i took it apart again the diaphram was ripped. So i just ordered this one.
Gona try to get it passed 16psi with a manual boost controller. Would like to be at 22-23psi. Than dyno and track.
Well bad news. Looks like the on3 turbo kicked the bucket. Went to take off the hotside to weld the new flange for the new gate. As i was taking off the turbo the wheel felt stiff. I pulled the hotside off and their was a little bit if burnt oil on there.
Followed by some shaft play, nothing crazy.
I wont even waste my time sending the turbo off to get inspected after reading how they work with their warrenty.
Sad to say but 550$ down the drain.
That stinks! Were you running the restrictor they suggest? Taken it apart at all to see if you can find the source of the failure? Split your oil filter to look for any metal?
I’ve never used their stuff. Only reason I ask is I was just talking to these guys about the oil restrictors. They claimed ON3 suggested using them on LS engines. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...1&goto=newpost
That’s a bummer. I was hoping the 77/83 and 88/83 were going to be the next hot turbos For LS stuff. Think your turbo angle/position could have killed it?
What’s your budget?
Can’t go wrong with the S475 IMO. (If you can fit it) They run hard and are built like tanks. I’d go with the cheapest 96mm 1.32 T6 for $640 shipped. Then one of the little john adapters that bring the down pipe down to 3”.
Looks like its $684 shipped right now. There's also a thread of a guy on the truck sight using the same turbo I believe. "Daily turbo build thread" I think.

That sucks! I've beating on mine for a few months and it's been handling 20+ PSI without issue. What have you heard about the "warranty"? I actually assumed it didn't have one.

The reason in my build thread I had put a restrictor was because of this:
Often times on the GM LSX based platforms, we run these even on the journal bearing turbochargers due to the engine oil pressure.
might be pulling the trigger tonight on the s475 83turbine 1.10 t6 from lil john motor sports for 699$.
that should meet my goals of 150mph traps at 2900lb race weight.
If you're going T6 anyway I can't see staying with the baby exh wheel. It's not an "83" but a 74/83. So It's a 74mm turbine when compared to other turbos. Not a lot of room to grow. You can always get the Base $650 96/87 S475 from forcedinductions and have them machine a 1.25 T4 housing for it if it's too lazy. Then you can upgrade compressor wheels later on if you want and not be out of exh wheel.
