Looks like they shipped the turbo separate

 

So i sent on3 a couple of pics as they requested.
And this is what i got
I mean im not a turbo expert, but how would slag create in and out shaft play.
And to say that you cant see where the compressor wheel hit the housing is just funny.

Well looks like they want me to send in the chra so they can inspect it and do a rebuild if needed.

 

I gotta admit I don't see any contact marks in those pics....

 

Im not saying it chewed the wheel completely. Im saying it had just started.

 

Whats weird to me is the amount of fuel it was using on 16psi. IMO it shouldve been using more. Thats what has me scratching my head.

Im debating of getting rid of the intercooler.

 

Put a peak and hold tire pressure gauge (3$) pre and post IC and make a pull. My IAT's were fine with my $120 china IC, but the pressure drop across the core was bad.

Re did the angle of the flange. Now its flat instead of angled

FWIW you can grab some SS safety wire from harbor junk super cheap and it works great at keeping that heat wrap in place. .030 or smaller works best IMO. Some HF safety wire pliers make installing a bit easier. Then hose it down good with BBQ grill paint and it makes the wrap more rigid, almost like glue. Doesn't move at all if you wrap it careful.
