I run a 383 SBC with a Edelbrock Tunnel ram in a jet boat with BG 625's (530HP) and it runs awesome. Idles well @ 800 rpm and pulls cleanly all the way thru with great throttle response and no flat spots. Not sure about twin dominators but well tuned 4150s on a max 408 should work great
It is okay hp. Hi ram top is rather big and takes up a lot realestate.
Imho big single is the go though. 419ci ls3 made 790hp, with 1050 dominator on ms109

Weights 2860 with my wife in the car , we use plates to slow car up for index racing . She ended up 3rd place in 11.50 index and 1 point from 2nd

So... I'm building a max effort, track only motor. Ls2 block 408 nitrous motor. My plan is a holley high ram with 2 dominator carbs. My question is will two 750 dominators work for me or is that still too much carb.
I'm new to carb in general so this will be a journey.
If you truly want max effort strip only, then the biggest thing that will fit under your hood is the best option. Also, most people on this forum can drive to the track, so you may be in the wrong place. Enormous difference between street/strip, and race only. You will find much more track only stuff on a different forum.

Yes G Atsma I know this is also as old picture.. But that plate could look so much better if it were trimmed to fit the profile of the manifold and beveled to get rid of the sharp edges, Still looks sweet as it is though.

In my defense, somebody else resurrected it and I was too drunk to notice.
I hate reading a post only to then realize someone has been digging in the graveyard, It's even worse when you realize the OP got bad advice and nobody corrected it way back then.
