Default GMPP Oil Pan Pick Issues

I did a quick search and most people are saying that the pick up should be between 3/8 to 1/2" from the bottom of the pan. When I checked mine it is at least an inch from the bottom. Will this be ok? Should I try and bend the tube to be closer to the bottom of the pan?

Just to update this, I called GM Performance Parts today and asked about the pick up tube specs. I was told a 1.5" was the proper spec for this pan. I can only guess that it is further away because of how small the deep part of the pan is compared to other ls pans. So, I guess i am going to roll with it for now. I think I want to change pans when it is in the budget as this one still hangs just as low as a truck pan.
