This is how my cooler is.. pretty big cooler.. it's about an inch off of the condenser.. seems to work though.. just expected higher Temps and for them to increase much quicker

I have a fan and cooler set up same place, except its held in my zip ties. I have it cockeyed because the fan is a little in the way. I have the hot fluid go in the top, and the cooled fluid goes back to the trans from the bottom of the cooler. I do not know how good it works. I do feel that the crisp of the shift decreases a slight amount after hard driving in hot NC weather.

I have the B&M 70266 cooler which is 8 x 11 x 1½
It is mounted right in front of the radiator because I removed my a/c condenser and compressor. It sits about a inch away from the radiator, I bypassed the factory radiator cooler and used braided steel lines.

So far on hot 80 degree days beating on my car a bit mixed in with stop and go traffic I have not seen temps get over about 155 -160 degrees.

Those stainless lines are nice.. I did the poor man set up lol.. seems to work as long as my lines don't let loose on the track.. maybe my gauge is pretty accurate then.. took a ton of stop and go then parking in my garage after hammering down on it 5 minutes prior to hit that 170 too haha.. normally 150-160 in stop and go is all I see.. the fan may be nice for hot laps waiting in line at the track

Ya, I really like it. Much nicer than having to worry about a line popping off or having to check them all the time.

For the braided lines and -6an fittings it is about $120 in parts. I would recommended it.

Mine have never popped off with just rubber and clamps. But they were in fact crossed. I was not getting any trans cooling. I just went out and did some driving in 90 degree weather and it stayed perfectly crisp in shifting. I am befuddled.

On all my vehicles with trans temp gauges I have the sender in the cooler line going out.
And it usually needs to be grounded.
The pan reads average temp, the cooler out line reads max temp, the case test port reads case temp. Put it where you want.

I have an aeroforce scan gauge and it works fine. Since I've switched to my new cooler/ -6an line set up, the highest I've seen has been 165, and that was in stop and go traffic on an 80+ degree day.
